Before the installation: Make sure that the pin post is straight, otherwise the locking mechanism won't work or even can stuck. You can straighten the post with pilers or similar tool before installing the clasp, but be gentle!
To install: push the clasp over the post, but don't press directly on top of the locking back! Instead of that place your fingers on sides of the lower disk and press down. The top disk will protrude slightly and you will feel a light 'click'. Make sure the clasp locked and secure by grabbing and tugging the lower disk. It's fine if it spins around the post though.
To release: grab the top disc to free the locking mechanism – the disk will goes up more. Pull it up gently to remove the clasp.
